mohawk valley latino association, inc.
Sonia co-founded the Mohawk Valley Latino Association along with three other Latino colleagues in 2003 to address the issues of the lack of educational and cultural support services for area Latino residents. MVLA unites the Latino community and provides coordinated assistance in navigating education, housing, immigration, healthcare, social services, translation/interpretation, judicial and/or employment issues.

MBA, ENV SP, Certified Permaculture Teacher
​FIRST CIRCLE
Cimbria has an MBA in Managing for Sustainability, is a certified Sustainability Professional through the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure and is a certified permaculture designer and teacher. Cimbria serves as a consultant and coach for individuals and companies who are interested in streamlining their systems, and creating pathways to thriving.

COMMUNICATION COORDINATOR,

Maria first got involved with the MVLA in 2020 as a volunteer and was hired in December 2020 thanks to generous funding from The Community Foundation. Maria graduated from Utica College in May 2020 with a degree in Communications and Media. She is passionate about Journalism and Communication as great tools to understand the world, its cultures and create a better world for everybody.
