Ending Gun Violence In New York (#SAFESUMMER2021)

Governor Declares Disaster Emergency to Stop Gun Violence In New York 

The Governor introduced the first-in-nation Gun Violence Disaster Emergency, this comprehensive strategy was developed to stop gun violence and create a safer New York.

"New York state Is Investing $154.7 Million in Targeted intervention, prevention, and job programs to engage at-risk youth and get young people off the streets in communities most impacted by gun violence." (Governors Office)

The Programs In utica are directed for youth and community organizations located around gun violence hotspots such as zip code 13501 and 13502.
